Method
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt together in a large bowl.
- Add lukewarm water and oil, and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 60 minutes, until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Shape the dough into a single large round loaf and place on a lined baking tray.
- Let it rest, covered, for 15 minutes.
- Score a spiral pattern into the top with a sharp knife.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped.
