Shops & Street Food Review

Chang Noi

Chang Noi is exactly what I want from a street-food place - small, casual and completely focused on the food, with the smell from the kitchen doing all the advertising. Moo Ping is a classic Thai grilled pork skewer, while larb is strongly associated with Laos and northeastern Thailand, and the kitchen presents itself explicitly as Thai and Lao rather than generic Asian food. The larb and Moo Ping are already on my repeat-order list.

Best Thing About It

The Moo Ping - beautifully caramelised pork skewers with a slightly sweet, savoury marinade - and a Tom Yum that was hot, sour and incredibly aromatic.

Could Be Better

Small current-status note: its latest food-hygiene inspection in February 2026 resulted in a rating of 2 (Improvement Necessary), worth being transparent about even though it doesn't reflect the food quality.
