Restaurant Review
Son of a Bun
An absolute mecca for comfort food lovers.
01 The Arrival
Located on MacCurtain Street in the Victorian Quarter, Son of a Bun is widely celebrated for serving some of the best burgers in Ireland, with a cool, high-energy industrial vibe.
02 The Food
The classic SOB Burger, the Chicken Cruncher loaded with hot honey and gochujang mayo, and giant portions of truffle fries - juicy patties and super crunchy chicken with shockingly generous portions.
03 The Experience
Servers were energetic, welcoming and fun, handling the bustling room with ease - the ultimate spot for a night out with friends.
04 Was It Worth It?
Great value for premium local beef and massive comfort-food portions, though specialty loaded fries carry an extra premium.
05 The Verdict
Out-of-this-world gourmet burgers and incredible sauces, though they don't take table bookings so expect a brief wait on weekends. Burger fiends cannot visit Cork without stopping here.
