Ingredients

  • 50ml single pot still Irish whiskey
  • 25ml sweet red vermouth
  • 15ml Green Chartreuse
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • Orange peel twist

Method

  1. Add the pot still whiskey, sweet vermouth, Green Chartreuse, and orange bitters to a mixing glass packed with clean ice.
  2. Stir thoroughly for 25 seconds until perfectly chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled vintage coupe glass.
  4. Twist the orange peel over the drink to express the essential oils across the surface, then discard or use as garnish.

A complex, historic pre-prohibition cocktail combining herbal green Chartreuse with sweet vermouth and whiskey. Beguiling, rich, and intensely aromatic.
