Ingredients

  • 50ml blended Irish whiskey
  • 25ml sweet red vermouth
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Brandied cherry (for garnish)

Method

  1. Combine the Irish whiskey, sweet vermouth, orange bitters, and Angostura bitters in a mixing glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir smoothly with a bar spoon for 20-30 seconds until the mixture is ice cold and diluted perfectly.
  3. Strain into a chilled martini or Nick & Nora glass.
  4. Garnish with a single brandied cherry dropped into the bottom of the glass.

Essentially an Irish spin on the Manhattan. This sophisticated, stirred cocktail highlights herbal notes by swapping out rye whiskey for a rich Irish single malt or blend.
