  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) hot brewed coffee
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) Irish whiskey
  • 3 tbsp lightly whipped cream (not fully stiff)

Method

  1. Warm a heatproof glass with a little hot water, then discard the water.
  2. Pour the hot coffee into the glass and stir in the brown sugar until dissolved.
  3. Add the Irish whiskey and stir to combine.
  4. Lightly whip the cream so it is thick but still pourable, not stiff.
  5. Gently pour the cream over the back of a spoon so it floats on top of the coffee.
  6. Serve immediately without stirring, sipping the coffee through the cream layer.
