- 250ml double cream
- 1 can (397g) sweetened condensed milk
- 300ml Irish whiskey
- 2 tsp premium cocoa powder (dissolved in 1 tsp boiling water)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
- In a large jug or blender, combine the double cream and sweetened condensed milk.
- Pour in the Irish whiskey, the dissolved cocoa powder mixture, and the vanilla extract.
- Blend on low speed for 15-20 seconds until completely smooth and cohesive. Do not over- blend, or the cream will start to whip.
- Pour the mixture into clean, sterilised glass bottles.
- Seal tightly and store in the refrigerator. Shake well before serving cold over ice cubes. (Keeps well for up to 2-3 weeks in the fridge).
An incredibly easy and superior homemade alternative to Baileys. Perfectly rich, smooth, and perfect for gifting or serving over ice during the holidays.
