FAQs:

Q: Are marinad the same as beignets?

A: They are similar in concept but marinad are savoury, herb-flecked fritters rather than sweet dough.

Q: Can I bake instead of fry them?

A: Frying is traditional and gives the characteristic crisp exterior; baking will produce a softer, less authentic texture.
