Description: A boldly named, equal-ish parts cocktail combining rum, cognac and orange liqueur — essentially a Sidecar with added rum.

Cultural Background: Documented from the 1930s, likely originating in Paris around the same era as the Sidecar it closely resembles.

Tips: The cognac and rum should be of good quality since there's little else to hide behind.

Variations: Dark rum instead of white gives a richer, more caramel-forward version.

Serving Suggestion: Serve up, well chilled, as a strong, spirit-forward classic.

Nutrition: Approx. 185 kcal per serving

FAQs:

Q: How is this different from a Sidecar?
A: A Sidecar is cognac-only; this splits the base between rum and cognac.
