Pie Server
United States

A flat, wedge-shaped serving tool with a thin cutting edge, used to cut and lift a clean slice of pie from the dish in a single motion.
Material & Construction
A flat metal or plastic wedge-shaped head, angled and thin enough to slide under a pie slice, with a handle attached at the wide end.
Traditional Uses
Cutting through a baked pie's crust and filling and lifting the slice out intact onto a plate, a task a standard knife alone often can't do cleanly.
Modern Availability / Equivalents
A regular knife combined with a flat spatula can substitute, though a dedicated pie server accomplishes both actions in a single tool.
Care & Maintenance
Hand-wash and dry; most modern versions are dishwasher-safe.
