Cask Ale (Real Ale)
United Kingdom

A specifically British tradition: beer that finishes its conditioning and carbonation naturally in the cask it's served from, rather than being force-carbonated with added CO2, and served without extra gas pressure (typically via a hand pump). This produces a softer carbonation and is meant to be served at cellar temperature, relatively fresh — cask ale has a shorter ideal drinking window than packaged beer.
