Ingredients

  • - 2 oz bourbon
  • - 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • - 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • - 1 egg white (optional, for a silkier texture)

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker without ice and dry-shake 15 seconds (if using egg white).
  2. Add ice and shake hard 15 seconds.
  3. Strain over fresh ice.

Description: A tart, frothy classic balancing whiskey against fresh lemon and sugar.

Garnish: Orange slice and cocktail cherry

Note: The egg white gives a signature frothy head; the drink works well without it too.
