Ingredients
- 75g mature cheddar cheese, finely grated
- 1/4 red onion or 2 spring onions, extremely finely diced
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- A pinch of black pepper
- 2 slices of fresh granary or white bread
Method
- In a small bowl, combine the finely grated cheddar and the finely diced onion.
- Add the mayonnaise and black pepper, stirring vigorously until it forms a thick, cohesive savory salad paste.
- Spread the mixture thickly between two slices of fresh bread. Cut into triangles and serve immediately.
