Ingredients

  • 40g porridge oats
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 200ml whole milk or oat milk
  • 1 tbsp raw heather honey
  • 1 tbsp malt extract syrup (or 50ml non-alcoholic Guinness reduced down)

Method

  1. Place the porridge oats into a high-speed blender and pulse until they are finely ground.
  2. Add the ripe banana, milk, honey, and malt extract syrup to the blender.
  3. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds until completely silky smooth, creamy, and uniform.
  4. Pour into a chilled glass, dusting with a tiny pinch of dry oats or cinnamon if desired.

A thick, nutritious, and decadent morning or afternoon fuel shake utilizing classic Irish oats and local honey, given a rich malty texture via non-alcoholic stout extract or malt syrup.
