Ingredients

  • 1 large bake-at-home French baguette roll
  • 3 pork sausages, fried and split lengthwise
  • 2 back bacon rashers, fried crisp
  • 2 slices of white pudding, fried
  • 1 large egg, fried
  • Salted butter and brown sauce

Method

  1. Bake the French baguette according to instructions so it is scorching hot and ultra-crusty on the exterior.
  2. While the bread bakes, ensure all your breakfast meats (sausages, bacon, white pudding) are fried crisp and cooked through. Fry the egg until the edges are golden.
  3. Slice the warm baguette open down the length, taking care not to cut completely through.
  4. Spread a generous layer of salted butter along the warm crumb so it melts instantly.
  5. Layer the split sausages, crispy bacon, and fried white pudding inside the bread. Top carefully with the fried egg, drizzle with brown sauce, and wrap tightly in tin foil for 1 minute before slicing in half (this traps the heat and binds the roll together).
