Method
- Combine the wine, spices, orange peel and sugar in a saucepan.
- Warm gently over low heat for 20-30 minutes, never letting it boil.
- Stir in the aquavit or vodka just before serving.
- Strain into mugs, adding a few raisins and almonds to each.
