Description: A muddled, citrus-forward brandy drink following the same smash template as the Whiskey Smash.

Cultural Background: Smashes as a category date to the mid-1800s, applied across nearly every base spirit including brandy.

Tips: Muddle the mint gently — over-muddling releases bitter chlorophyll.

Variations: Add muddled fresh berries in summer for a fruitier twist.

Serving Suggestion: Serve over crushed or cracked ice for the coldest, most refreshing result.

Nutrition: Approx. 175 kcal per serving

FAQs:

Q: Is this similar to a Mint Julep?
A: Related in spirit, but the Smash adds citrus juice, where a Julep is purely spirit, sugar and mint.
