Ingredients
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) Irish whiskey
- 150 ml (2/3 cup) boiling water
- 1 tbsp honey or sugar
- 1 slice lemon
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
Method
- Warm a heatproof glass with a little hot water, then discard the water.
- Stud the lemon slice with the whole cloves and place it in the glass.
- Add the whiskey and honey or sugar.
- Top with boiling water and stir gently until the honey or sugar dissolves.
- Add a cinnamon stick if using.
- Serve immediately while hot.
