01 The Arrival

A lovely classic feel — more traditional than some of the newer Manchester restaurants, which is exactly what makes it appealing. A beautiful building giving the restaurant an elegant feel without being too formal.

02 The Food

Started with a sharing starter, followed by mains, then dessert, plus a cocktail. The food was beautifully presented and cooked well — classic brasserie food rather than anything experimental, which is sometimes exactly what you want. The dessert was the highlight, the perfect excuse to finish on something sweet.

03 The Experience

Staff were really friendly and attentive without constantly checking in — everything felt relaxed. Elegant but comfortable, working equally well for lunch, a date or a celebration.

04 Was It Worth It?

Good, particularly given the setting and standard of service.

05 The Verdict

Beautiful setting, lovely service, good food, elegant atmosphere, great central location. More traditional than some of Manchester's trendier restaurants, but a really dependable choice.
