01 The Arrival

Dark, atmospheric and packed with character, Darkey Kelly's is exactly the kind of Dublin pub with a strong sense of history that's exciting to walk into.

02 The Food

Beef and Guinness pie with chips and vegetables, shared wings and a chocolate brownie. The pie was proper comfort food with rich gravy and tender beef, the wings were sticky and full of flavour, and the brownie was warm and indulgent.

03 The Experience

Staff were friendly and attentive despite the lively atmosphere. The pub is particularly known for its live traditional Irish music performances throughout the week.

04 Was It Worth It?

Very good value - portions are substantial and the whole experience feels wonderfully relaxed.

05 The Verdict

Fantastic atmosphere, live music, hearty food and friendly staff, though it can get very lively around the music. A proper Dublin pub experience rather than a generic tourist bar.
