Restaurant Review

Rúibín

A seasonal, waterfront Irish-European spot worth the splurge for a proper occasion dinner.

01 The Arrival

Right by the docks in a handsome stone building, Rúibín feels special from the moment you walk in — smart but relaxed, with the upstairs dining room especially lovely when you catch a glimpse of the water.

02 The Food

Dumplings and pork cheek croquette to start, then monkfish and ricotta gnudi for mains — the gnudi was the standout, with everything beautifully presented without skimping on portions, finished off with a dreamy dark chocolate crémeux.

03 The Experience

Warm, knowledgeable staff who look after you without hovering, in a setting that's polished but still relaxed — the old stone building and waterfront views add real character, especially in the evening.

04 Was It Worth It?

Not a cheap night out, but the cooking, ingredients and setting justify the price tag.

05 The Verdict

Gorgeous setting, creative food and excellent cocktails make this a great pick for a date night or special occasion — just book ahead, as it's not the place for a spontaneous walk-in.
