Dirty Gnocchi

Cardiff Market is one of my favourite places to eat, and Dirty Gnocchi stood out immediately for being so gloriously over-the-top. This is a modern Italian street-food take on gnocchi - deep-fried rather than boiled - and it completely changed my opinion of the dish. The outside was golden and crispy while the middle stayed soft, and the parmesan added a salty hit without the whole thing feeling heavy. At £7-£10 it's exactly the kind of lunch that feels like a proper treat.
