First Impressions

Basically dangerous if you're hungry — beautiful old market structures, huge variety of food, constant movement and incredible smells everywhere you turn.

The Scenery

Every few metres there's something else that looks amazing.

What You'll See

Historic market buildings, food stalls, fresh produce, bakeries, cheese sellers, meat and seafood, street-food vendors.

Best Photo Opportunities

Main market entrances
Rows of stalls
Colourful produce
Food being prepared

Seasonal Appeal

Particularly lovely around Christmas when the market becomes incredibly festive; summer is probably the nicest time for eating outside nearby.

Sounds & Surroundings

Lots of conversation, vendors serving food, cooking sounds and the general buzz of a London food market.

Getting There

London Bridge is the obvious station, only a short walk away; car access is very limited around the market.

Would I Visit Again?

Absolutely — somewhere to return to specifically to try something different.

Final Verdict

A must-visit because it is one of the most exciting places in London to eat your way around.
