First Impressions

A very modern building with airport-style security, huge glass lifts and tropical-looking planting — the incredible views appear almost immediately once upstairs.

The Scenery

The combination of greenery and skyscrapers is what makes it feel different from a normal observation deck.

What You'll See

London skyline, Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, the Thames, the Shard, the Gherkin and City skyline, plus indoor landscaped gardens.

Best Photo Opportunities

Seasonal Appeal

Works brilliantly year-round since the main attraction is indoors — a rainy afternoon can be a great time to visit, warm and dry while watching the weather over the city.

Sounds & Surroundings

Background conversation and the restaurant/bar areas, but surprisingly calm considering how busy London is underneath you.

Getting There

Excellent City of London transport connections; car parking is limited but it is easily incorporated into a City sightseeing day.

Would I Visit Again?

Definitely — particularly at sunset when the skyline starts lighting up.

Final Verdict

A must-visit because you get one of London's best city views while surrounded by actual greenery.
